Lets talk bulb colors
« on: September 30, 2013, 02:06:42 PM »
Looking to replace my two Coralife fixtures bulbs.  I bought them new with a 10k and an atinic in both them them, T5.

So, (4) 4' bulbs on the tank.  I really liked the color and light that they gave off.  One of them has started to change color some, undesirable.  Now one has burnt out.  So, I want replace them all to get back to that color they were when new.

Because I like the blues of the fish... the atinic are a good fit for me.  But, before I purchase I also am looking at what the other colors give.

Any experience you would like to share?

Figure out what colors you want to be focused & use the color spectrum on the bulb box to find the bulbs you want.

I understand this part... just looking for some experience I guess on what you all have found to work best.

The heat range or color of the bulbs can make such a difference in how the fish look.

Ken 10k and atinic are great colors.  The question I'm more interested in is what bulb manufacture will you be using? I love giesimen pure atinics and like ati 10k bulbs.  The other comment/ question is what order your bulbs are in your fixture? Changing the order of the bulbs changes the light output from your view and your fishes.  Ryan

Not specific on brand of bulbs.

The tank have the T5 on is a 4' 85 gallon... I have (2) Coralife 48" fixtures.  (1) atinic and (1) 10k in each.
