What type of fish is this in the marineland ad? It's really nice! It looks like an ob peacock hybrid to me. Anybody know?

They vary greatly in the ammount of orange/blue/white present, I've got a male who has almost no white.

Oh. I have a really nice F1 male with more blue and purple than any other color. He's one of my favorite fish in the tank. I posted some pictures of him in the pictures section

So you are telling us a man made fish was wild caught and you ended up with offspring from this wild caught fish that was man made? Call Smithsonian and national geographic. They are going to want to know this.

Yeah.
OB Peacock are a man made hybrid created by crossing an orange blotched Metriaclima with an Aulonocara. There is No such thing as wild caught OB Peacock.  So therefore I would recommend that you do not trust or buy anymore fish fromthe person/place that sold you this F1 OB peacock.

Well put Blair lol...  I always laugh at some of the people calling everything in the store wild caught...  It sucks for so many buyers just getting scammed.

Lol, I guess I never really paid any attention to the fact that they're hybrids. Yeah, that's a good suggestion. I don't think I will shop there anymore... :D ;)
