Thanks for all the kind comments and words.

I know its part of the hobby, but when you look back at all the time and money you have into it makes it a hard pill to swallow.

I got around to taking apart the broken tank and the bottom part that blew out, was really "glued in"

I think it was just a freak thing, as the rest of the glass on the bottom was not wanting to come out or move

wow Rich I hate to hear that. I know when I lose just 1 fish it makes feel crappy but to lose 36+ fish overnight...that is terrible I'm so sorry to see this happened to ya :(

Rich, I too have lost many fish over the years.  It doesn't get any easier over time as all my fish are important to me. 

In 2000, when my 12" male Xingu III Black Pike Cichlid of an adult pair died from knocking down his heavy rock cave on himself, I was so upset that I gave away all of my fish; this was the only pair in the US back then.  It took a few years before I started keeping fish again.

I'll never give up.
