Detroit Lions

I believe it is going to be a....Long Time....before the Detroit Lions will ever be a serious contender for playoffs and more if ever Superbowl. They don't have the worse loss record in the present standing status-but I am not expecting anything from them for some time.  They need to strengthen their team with better players and stronger coaching etc.

I'm not really a NFL fan and follow college instead, but followed enough this year to keep up with friends at work who are passionate Lions fans. My impression is that it's hard to do well without a running back and when higher quality receivers keep going down with injury. Surely the coach made some bad choices as well (review challenge on a scoring play for example), but I don't think he needs to be shown the door yet. Or is it much more than that?
