If you want more New World, your only hopeful converts are Old World people. Insulting their tastes really does not help you. At all.
Totally disagree. You've got guppy people, community tropical people, saltwater people, people who don't know they want a fish tank yet, etc. There are plenty of other people to convince to join the dark side.  ;)

I meant on this forum, since he's complaining about it on this forum.

A little late to the party here, I keep all south Americans and I used bring them to the auctions but even my big stuff sold for very low prices was hardly worth bagging them up.  I have not been saving my dry though maybe in 2015 I'll get back to growing some fry out and bringing them.  I'll for sure have severums.  Hopefully uaru and some earth eaters.  Not glass bangers by any means though.

There's another thread related to this topic in the New World section called "prove us wrong" which asks for pics of colorful New Worlds. There's quite a few awesome fish that a few New World keepers have posted. I'd encourage folks to check those out. Not all of them are killers or require larger than average tanks. But the ones that do are quite spectacular in their own right and have a personality that you really don't see in Africans. Having kept Africans for 30 years, but having New Worlds now I see the beauty in both.
