New Livingstonii
« on: January 13, 2015, 07:47:04 PM »

Found this guy at the local shop today. Only about 5" currently but has some nice blue already showing in his face. He's still getting settled in so not showing the same color he was in the shop just yet. He'll spend the next 2 weeks in the Q-tank then go into the 265g after that.

Nice Steve.  I saw him Saturday in the store and was going to reply to your other message that you were looking for one but I got called into work and forgot to when I got home.

Yeah I actually saw him Monday and didn't buy him Monday just because with the auction coming up I knew I could get one cheaper than the shop price ($39.99)....but then yesterday I remembered that my sister gave me a $15 gift card to the shop for my birthday last month that I had not used. So I used that and went back and got him yesterday ;D

I really wish they would get African shipments in more often, it's pretty bare in there right now on the cichlid side of things. They have an new shipment coming in next Friday, but it just never seems like they get a whole lot on their orders.

Yeah I stop in every other week or so.  And it seems what they do get in, its the same fish as the last order. But I keep going hoping they got something different in ???

Yep very true I've noticed that as well, seems like the same species with every order. I actually have got some nice fish from them over the past couple years but to be honest the nicer ones I get from them are usually ones that someone has traded in for one reason or another and not ones that they got in an order. So that makes it hard to time when you'll find something good there. I try to stop in about 2-3 times per week just to see if they have something new traded in. I only live about a mile or so from them though so it makes it easy to stop in often luckily.
