I have a Marineland 24" plant LED light and it uses 24 watts so the 50 watts for the 48" light seems about right.  I have never heard of Beamworks but the price sure is dirt cheap.  The feedback for the seller seems solid enough.  Buyer beware though.  Make sure to report back if you end up getting it.  I would be curious to know if this is a viable, cheaper alternative.  You could barely build one for that price.

I have the beamsworks LED with the 1w bulbs. It's the 48 inch model that runs 54 watts I believe. No issues with it and has a really nice color.
I don't try anything, I just do it.

I bought two 36" Beamworks for my male tank. So far so good. I plan on buying a 48" for a 55G in my bedroom.

I have a 48" Beamswork LED on a 75 and a small Beamswork LED on a 10 gallon tank. No problems with either of them.
