Which collection of panto is that?  I haven't seen red on them like you captured.

I don't keep new worlds any more and never really did much with them, but the Herichthys bartoni and herichthys carpintis chairel are awesome and almost make me want to do a couple again. Great pics!

Sorry, never had a the collection on the pantos.

The bartoni were fry from Peter Durkins stock. Picked them up at the gcca classic in 2012.
They seem to be seasonal spawners, spawning twice in spring and early summer, but none of that activity since.
BAPed and sent out the fri back in fall.

The chairel  also came from someone at the 2012 gcca, they also spawned, early last summer, but the male killed his mate soon after the 2nd spawn.  Have what I believe is a female from the original group, and will try to put them together in a few months.

let me know when you have spawns of both of those. I wouldn't mind having them

Gotcha.... there's some Rio Coy pantos floating around in western Michigan.  But,  the guy hasn't spawned them that I know of.
He got in on a group buy that I headed from Cichlids of the Americas.

Are the Rio Coy more red than the norm?
Mine range from about 2" to 5", believe there are between 8 and 10 in the tank.

The above female developed spawning color, but it's a fairly busy tank, and I never saw indications of a spawn.
