sorry that came off wrong, I didn't mean to sound snooty.

Honestly I felt my post was embarrassing, I posted a bunch of aquarium deals that were bad, and half of them were dead links. I already bought a tank so I figured I should just edit out the post so people don't waste their time clicking on dead links or links I already crossed off my list. I didn't realize anyone would notice.

I apologize guys

Thanks for the explanation. Hope all goes well with your new tank.

this is what I bought btw :-)

it's a 109 gal, 48"x24"        x 22"tall
paid $140 delivered with metal stand and a cheap light

I'm really excited to get it cleaned up and running.
I'm going to do sand, driftwood and Central American Cichlids

Sounds good.

Which centrals?

I like pool filter sand myself.  Or #20 grit from HomeDepot is supposed to be the same thing.  Little to no rinsing needed and nice heavy grains.  And cheap - under $10 for 50lbs.

Not sure on the fish yet. I used to have a breeding pair of Salvini. I'm thinking I might do something like that again with a couple others thrown in or maybe some fire mouths or a green terror or something totally different. I'll probably try to find fish at a swap meet or I have had good luck at wet thumb or on the forum. I'm keeping my options open.
