A really nice Koi pond
« on: August 12, 2013, 09:22:14 PM »
Back on vacation a couple weeks ago we stopped at the Tawas zoo....It's called a "zoo" but that is a stretch IMO, it's basically a nice older couple that have a few acres at their farm house and they have a bear pen, a bobcat, some farm animals and a few other things they charge a few bucks to see. One thing they do have that is really nice though is a huge koi pond right behind their house. No idea how many gallon it is, but it is about 30ft x 15ft and 7ft deep so its big! And they have around 40 koi in it that are all between 2-3ft long and super fat. I would love to have a pond like this myself. Thought you guys might like to see a few of the pics of it.

Very cool.  I would love to turn our pond into a looking pond.

Back in the day when I was doing landscaping, we made a few of this (much smaller) but the waterfall and all.

Very relaxing to sit in the back yard and look at one.

Thats my project for next year,to put one where the deck was so kindly removed by fire:)
