I am working on setting up a 150gallon and i need lights.  I am thinking about some marineland single bright LED's.  Has anyone used them or have suggestions?

In my limited experience, I've found high output Fluorescent lights to work the best for daytime lighting, especially since you can tune the light spectrum to the needs of your tank and/or plants.  Plus, I think the LEDs are a lot more expensive still, in terms of output/dollar.  I do use LEDs, though, for my blue night lights for the tank and they work great.

Just my 2 cents ...

All the best !!!  :D

I have used the double brights from marineland and I absolutely love them.  The shimmer they add to the water beats a typical fixture in my opinion.

On a tank like that you can't go wrong with Marineland LED's.  I would get the double brights.  I am switching some of my tanks over to LED myself.

I just bought one 36" LED because that was all they had in stock today and i am testing it out on my 55 and so far I am loving it.  I think I may use these on all my tanks.  I hope they last a long time.

How do they do on deeper (say 30" deep) tanks?

I used the smallest size double bright ( made for a 10- 15 gallon) on a 29 tall I had and the light projected very nice.  I was able to grow quite a few plants in it with no problem.

Right now I have one 36" single bright on my 150 and it lights the hole tank fairly well but I am going to get a second anyway

Driving me nuts... I forgot the brand.   I have a five foot led on my 140 and I really like it.

Thinking of getting the same on my 150 gallon.
