MS Word/MS Excel
« on: March 08, 2013, 03:17:37 PM »
Anyone know of a way I can get these back on my laptop without having to buy them. I had to use my Recovery Discs recently and lost them.

OpenOffice.org (or a couple programs based on it) will let you edit/create Microsoft Office docs.  Doesn't look quite the same though.  I don't know which version you had before.

Unfortunately there is not any easy way to get it back otherwise.

You didn't get a software disk when you bought your laptop?

Nope. Someone had installed it for me. I don't see that person anymore.

When did you lose these apps?   You could try to restore your computer to an earlier day in the week !

He completely reformatted so system restore won't help.
