Tropical tails
« on: June 20, 2012, 09:04:37 PM »
Is anyone familial with this place or has stopped out this week? Supposedly he had a fire in the fish room and lost everything but a tank blowing up was how the fire was put out. I dunno something about it doesn't sound right and I know how the whole he said she said thing works especially in the fish business. Im sure some people have had great experiences with the guy but Ive never had such luck.  I am just wondering if someone has heard this same story as well or tired stopping out.

He's the guy in Mt. Pleasant right? Why don't you just swing by and check it out? I got some fish from him before and he was very talkative but made me a few good deals...gave me some fish for less than he was asking cuz he thought they would look good in my tank and I should have them in there.   :)

Last I heard Larry was shutting down a bunch of tanks. He told me the demand just isn't there.

Dan you know I don't have a problem with him, some do, so don't. But that is crazy if that happened, but I wouldn't doubt it though. That still kinda sucks if it did happen. Larry has always treated me pretty fair and so on. I might have to give him a call here soon and see what is going on.

Yup he had a fire.
My understanding is that it started in an ac unit.
Second hand info:
Lost all marine stock and 80% of fresh water.
I have not been in their in years as he was upset i sold fish to a store in Midland and Pruess pets.
Sorry it happened to him.
It was unknown if he was going to open up again.
Depended on insurance $ recovered.
