We all know the MCA hosts two awesome auctions annually however this summer the first MCA Swap was held. I thought it was a bold move to host it during the nice weather (typically when our hobby slows down) but based on my 45 minutes attending it seemed quite lively. There was about 12+ vendors with lots of cichlids as this is a cichlid based club however there was a variety of other goods available too - livebearers, shrimp, stones and decor, catfish, misc equipment and even hamsters. I brought my wife in an attempt to keep my purchasing to a minimum however I still ended up buying a group of metriaclima kawanga gold, some yssischromis blue tip (extinct in wild) from Josh Cunningham, some misc small equipment and of course some 100% pork burgers from Berger Farms. Overall great event and appreciate everyone who was involved in organizing it.
What did everyone else get?

I actually didn't get anything, unless you count the couple beers from the gas station

3 beautiful peacocks for my display tank.

Picked up a few plecos. Shoulda/Coulda bought a lot more but I’m using restraint these days. 🤑

I picked up an amazing Koi angelfish, a huge clump of Subwassertang moss and an absolutely massive pleco cave at a fantastic price from Glass Box aquatics, and I stocked up on botanicals for my shrimp colonies. Great event, in my opinion. Wish these happened bi-monthly!
