Sounded like an alright deal, good deal if the stand was included
I try to check Craigslist every day, even if I don't have the room for anything new.

** When I called on it-it was still available-but I was at work and not able to come and see/buy--someone got there ahead of me. :( It would have made a nice tank. Not sure what the measurements on a 55g bowfront would have been--but looked "fine to me".!! 8) **

That would have been a nice score!
On the bright side, at least the person with the item contacted you back! My success rate is at least below 15% on getting any reply back from a CL seller. I figure that either my use of capitalization and complete sentences scares people away or they're just so flooded with emails that they ultimately decent to not contact anyone back beyond whomever ends up becoming the buyer.

it was probably a 46bowfront .
Alot of ads have false sizes. For example - I asked a guy selling a 200gallon , what the dimensions were. He told me 6-7' by 16-18 wide&high. Now using those measurements it could be 117.82 gallons Max.

There's a CriagsList app on Android (and probably iPhone) you can use to check on the go. Here's the Android app:

** You have a point--it could have been a 46g bowfront. I was wondering if it really was a 55g BF--not certain-- I have never seen a 55g bowfront-although they may exist. I will check the net for any and check the measurements on it. etc. Some ads do give incorrect dimensions-best to measure the tank when you arrive...lol... 8) **
