Title: Where can I buy porous sponge ?

Where can I buy porous sponge cubes (like Poret from Swiss tropicals) to make DIY sponge filters ? I tried the mattress foam from Joann. But the pores are to fine.

I've used 30ppi open cell foam from  http://www.thefoamfactory.com/opencellfoam/filter.html  - they are on the east side - Macomb

it says filter foam not recommended for fish tanks in the fine print.
