Nice little assortment

You do know this stock probably won't last, right?
Once everything gets to adulthood - you're most likely going to have some problems

Yeah- I'm going to let the dynamics work themselves out as we go and watch for trouble. I like the idea of growing these guys out, even though I know some may eventually need a new home (or tank!) When you say "adult" what timeline is likely on that? What specific issues might you anticipate?

For those species-. I'd say at least 3 years before they are fully grown, as they are slower growers.

But, you're looking at - Salvini 7-8", Jd 8-9" , GT 10-12" , HRP 6"
That's alot of fish for a 90gal.

The Salvini is the one I'd watch out for. They're are fast, aggressive, territorial&  nasty.

Assuming full grown max sizes, that's only 35"s of fish in a 48" long tank. What about 1" per 1" of tank length or 1" per gallon?

Them's the rulez right?  :P ;D ;)

Lol yeah, you gotta love whoever came up with that crap.

I'd love to see a New World that only defends an area equal to it's length

I have a little pair of parental pink convicts that have driven 25 other cichlids, mostly larger, into a corner of a 75-gallon tank.  Feisty little fish.

Blair's advice is good; he's the CA go-to guy.

Maybe a Red Devil in a 5.5 gallon tank.  :P

x2 - I was just being facetious regarding my stocking comments. I hope everything works out for the best.

Always liked salvini...Thanks to this photo it looks like more will find their way into my tanks very soon.  Didn't really want to make the mortgage payment this month anyway.
