In the devastation that Houston suffered, to help our fellow aquarists who lost fish in Houston, when the Houston club is ready I would like to put together some boxes of fish and send them down to help them get started again. If you spare fry to donate let me know and we can arrange the logistics. I will cover all the costs for shipping the fish to them. If interested in helping out, send me a pm.

Your idea is admirable, but in flooded areas, it could upwards of a year before some hobbyists could be ready to house fish again.

I agree with Marty it is going to be awhile before things get back to where they can handle fish. Those of you that are friends with Charles Clapsaddle of Goliad Farms in Victoria Texas have some sort of idea of how it is going to keep a commercial fish farm from being destroyed. His posts are very long and detailed. I am thankful that I am not the one dealing with it.

Correct it could be a while, but when they are ready I am sure something can be arranged. I am just trying to get people thinking and conversations started.

I'm with you Josh...so it could be a while...ok, but a little compassion & thoughtfulness goes a long way when you're in the midst of extreme hardship...wanting or even being able to restock tanks may be the furthest thing from peeps minds right now but to know peeps are in the wings ready and willing to assist is priceless...at the very least peeps have plenty of time to designate and grow out some decent sized fry for when the time is right...i wish I was a breeder...i'd be in like Flynn.
Good onya Josh!!
