Hello everyone,
Josh Cunningham will be presenting a talk for our club and wanted to invite anyone from this group for a visit to our group.
The talk will take place September 10, 2017 @ 10:00am (that is on a Sunday)

Good to advertise the meeting as I support Josh. I must admit to being confused as to why the WAS didn't advertise the American Cichlid Association convention that the MCA held in Novi, Michigan this past July? As one of the two largest cichlid and catfish events in the region this year I would expect to see every local club getting onboard.

Not sure what your referencing because the ACA convention was advertised on the Windsor Aquarium Society forum as well as the Facebook page .
It was listed in the upcoming auctions thread http://windsoraquaria.proboards.com/thread/3706/2017-spring-auctions . Again closer to the actual event http://windsoraquaria.proboards.com/thread/3706/2017-spring-auctions?page=3 and also put a copy of the Cruisin for Cichlid's flyer on the Facebook page .
Hope this clears up any confusion .

I think one line posted in a general auction thread is a poor promotion to the biggest Cichlid event and in MI the ACA has not be this close in almost 20 years and being only 30 miles from Windsor a thread with a flyer and link to the convention page is normally the way things are promoted in the hobby.

Sorry if we disappointed you and or the Michigan Cichlid Association as that was not our intention . We will learn from this and try to do better in the future .
