Seems that these days I lose more fish by overfeeding than by any other way. Sometimes it is just a mistake too. For example I bought 90% hatch rate baby brine after using some crappy stuff in a tube. The result was way too many baby brines in the fry tank when I fed them. Next we come to the Demasoni who I keep with three very large Mbuna and a Buttekoferi. This tank scenario I have found becomes problematic in that the Demasonigorge themselves on the larger portions of food that are meant for the larger Cichlids. Two days ago I noticed this and yesterday I purged the fish in the tank to get them back to zero with their diet. I could put the Demasoni in a 40 breeder but I enjoy watching them in the 90. So for now I have a bit of a juggling act going on.

It's certainly a juggling act when you have a tank with various size fish in it and want everyone to get enough without any eating too much. Sometimes there is a solution, but sometimes there isn't. Good on you to react to the situation and split them up.
