Title: The ball python thread
Post by: ballpython584 on September 05, 2011, 11:00:29 AM
Rather than continue with the old egg development thraed, I thought I would start a new one. The new 2011/2012 breeding season is here so this will be a ongoing thread of the entire season.

This thread will be updated as locks, follicle development, ovulations, egg laying and hatchings develop.

Hope you all enjoy this. If there are any questions along the way please feel free to ask.

First lock of the season. Fire x Normal:

As the different aspects of breeding happen I will ad a side note as to what the different terms mean

Lock = The act of copulation. If you look at the picture you can see the males tail is under the females tail. If anyone would like a more detailed explaination let me know, but I think everyone gets the idea.

Yup, crazy like a fox. The babies that will come from that pairing will go for $300 - $400 each. With an average size clutch of 7 eggs that equates to $2100 - $2800 and this is a lower end pairing. I have snakes that when bred could fetch $4500 per hatchling.

Yup crazy like a fox.
