Hi. Does anyone know of any way to repair an ecoplus air pump that loses pressure? Seems like everytime I lay something near the pump that I start to lose air power on it. I unplug it and it cools down. Plug it back in and it is usually ok. Is there any type of maintenence that should or could be performed on ecoplus linear air pumps?

Have you taken it apart & looked at the diaphragm?
-
Well ai suppose that is what I was asking. I do not think that this pump has a diaphram. If ai take it apart I do not know what I am repairing. I saw a video on this style pump and did not see a diaphram.

Gotcha. I've only used linear pumps & don't know about yours.
What I'd do is, buy another & then take apart the current one & fix it. It's good to have a backup anyhow

What model# is the pump?

EcoPlus 1 single outlet 764 gph
I found this but he doesn't seem to be repairing it. Just quieting it. I cannot tell since he doesn't explain.

He's using pond liner to make a new diaphragm

Took it apart. Turns out that the foam next to the inlet looked like this. It was clogged. Pump was overheating. I cut that part of the foam out. But now that I dislodged the hairball I may put it back as I suppose it saves the main part from this junk getting in.

Yes. You do want some kind of filter on it.

Still overheating and losing pressure. I guess I have to take the whole thing apart.
