Title: Au Sable fish pics (back from vacation)

Spent the past 2 weeks at my home away from home..the Au Sable. Had a great time with family and spent about every waking minute on the river fishing. Was a bit slower than normal this year on the fly but still managed some really nice fish on streamers and foam hoppers. Built a new 10wt rod for big pike flies and managed to put that to use on some pike as well. I have lots of pics to upload over the next few days but here's a start of them.

And on another happy note....all fish/tanks made it through me being gone for 2 weeks. Only loss was one 6" female Venustus but she had some issues for a couple weeks before I even left so that was sort of expected.

A 20" and a 18" smallmouth both caught & released back into the waters of the Au Sable to grow even bigger for next year perhaps.

Awesome Steve...I'm drooling...at the fish of course...looks like you had a great time away mate...some nice healthy river smallies tbere...incredible color...did you fry up the walleye?

Thanks Danny. No, even though I'm mostly C&R these days I do keep some eyes / Perch, but I was actually trout fishing when I got hi so didn't have any fillet stuff on me so he was lucky lol
