As the warm weather starts to roll in & before we start getting into the club's outdoor events, we have a very special treat in store...
Our May meeting is featuring a superb talk by one of Michigan's finest aquarists.
That's right folks!! We have Chris Carpenter coming over to give us a Tanganyika shell dweller talk!
Board member of the Grand Valley Aquarium Club, Chris got serious about the aquarium hobby 10 years ago. He keeps many different types of freshwater fish and dabbles in saltwater as well. His main interest lies with the Cichlids from Lake Tanganyika and even more specifically with the very interesting and small Shelldwellers that live in the lake. Having kept and bred many of these fish, he will be sharing his experiences.

Who is ready to see a great talk on Tanganyikan Shellies? I know I am!!!!
-
6 more hours! I'm ready to sit back, have a bloody Mary & learn about some shellies!
-
I thought the topic was intriguing and wanted to make it out, but had to stay late at work and didn't get home until after 9. How as the talk?

Thanks again, Chris!

I had all intentions of attending too. Unfortunately I was in so much pain for the last few days before that I couldn't manage to even drive....my car being a manual transmission and not being able to move my right arm much :-\
I felt really bad because I had already offered my services to Blair for selling raffle tickets and doing the auctioneer duties.
p.s. Blair, that's a standing offer for any meeting.
