Found a wild deal on craigslist. Need more lighting. Open to all constructive criticism! I am never offended.
No fish currently, but 8 discus, some tetras, and two bristle nose will be the inhabitants.
Currently running a fluval 306, sponge filter, two 200 watt and a 150 watt heaters, one large airstone, and a 48" monster ray led.

Looks like a great start!

nice why so many heaters? I have 2 breeder sponges in mine.very nice!
-
I was having trouble keeping it warm enough. I added the second 200 last week. Think I should see what happens if I take the 150 out?
-
Getting there. Nice!

Having more heaters will not hurt with discus, they like it warm. Just some tips add the smaller fish first before getting the discus. a lot of people will run bear bottoms with them or very little sand. I do like the tank though.

I'm currently running at a steady 86.
I may take some of the sand out, but I'm not going to run bare bottom. I'm going to purchase mature fish to start, and skip the grow out stage.
Maybe if I decide to breed, or attempt a grow out, I would definitely go bare bottom.

Any updates on this tank?
I'm thinking of starting a 125-210 gallon discus tank myself possibly and was curious of the progress.

We had a couple vacations planned this summer and decided to take it a different direction. We ended up running a community tank for now.
Discus when we are more prepared for the time commitment.
