Title: ID help please
Post by: Ava333 on March 10, 2016, 11:09:25 PM
Picked up a new peacock at the LFS today from the "mixed tank". Kinda reminds me of an Aulonocara Nyassae but could be a hybrid for all I know... Any ideas? He was a brighter blue at the store, not so dark. He's almost 3"

He's still got a lot of growing to do. I find it interesting that he seems to have black vertical bars covering a deep navy blue horizontal stripe running the length of his body.

Your probably right. I've been digging through pics and can't find a match.

Looks like an Aulononcara koningsi "Blue Regal" male that is just coming into color.

Thought about that, but look at the barring.  Classic hybrid tell tale
