Title: Maple branch in tank?
Post by: Steve on February 28, 2016, 05:55:25 PM
Anyone ever use a branch from a maple tree in their tanks before? I ask because there's a branch I have from a maple in my yard that has been dead for a long time, no bark on it, no sap, so just wondering other than having to sink it if there would be any issues with using that in a tank because it's a pretty nice looking branch.

I haven't specifically used a maple branch Steve but I have used all sorts of different wood types in my tanks over the past 30 yrs. Never had an issue so I can't see how a maple branch would pose a problem.
Cheers mate. Danny
Btw congrats on quitting the smokes and losing 175lbs mate! That is a stellar effort. Well done!

Thanks Danny. I think I'll start soaking this one I have then so I can use it in my 6ft tank once that is set up.

And thanks for the congrats. My 5 year anniversary of the day I quit smoking is just around the corner (April)  8)

$20 a pack??!! Holy crap! I've been quit 2 years but if they were $10 a pack down South, I would have quit WAY sooner!

Congrats to you both for kicking the habit. And congrats to Steve for the weight loss. Was that a typo? 175 lbs?? Wow! I lost 80 but can't imagine 175. "Great Job" is a HUGE understatement!

Lol! Mibwb, congrats on the weight loss! I started smoking when I got divorced too so I know how it goes. But you can still put the smoke back down... 😊 (However, I kept smoking till I got remarried 10 years later! 😂😂😂)

Isn't the saying "fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you. Fool me thrice , shame on me again".

I think that might apply if your marring the SAME person 3 times 😁

There are a few things I believe firmly in:
1. I can lay my troubles at the feet of Christ.
2. Decisions made while your angry, usually come back to bite you in the butt!
3. Some people are like whiskey, it takes them a few years to mellow out.
4. There is someone for everyone, as long as your willing to keep looking and hold out for the right one.
5. I would be lazy if I ever one the lottery! 😂
