Title: LOL, Lack of Grammar These Days

So while watching the news this evening the reporter was talking to a woman and she made two separate grammatical errors in the same interview.

First, she said that she couldn't "phantom" why people did what they did (the topic of the story was a shooting).
The word she was trying to convey was obviously "fathom".

Second, she said the place of business should think about installing metal detectors to prevent "weopontry" from being brought inside.
Again, she obviously was trying to say "weaponry".

I'm not trying to be a grammar Nazi but sometimes it just cracks me up how poorly people speak our language.
