Title: This One Slipped Past Quality Control
Post by: GrizzlysDad on February 04, 2016, 11:08:41 PM
So I picked up four new 40 breeders during the recent PetCo $1 per gallon sale.
Placed them on a previously used, well built, perfectly square wooden rack.
The last one I put in place wobbles like a drunken monkey  :o
So I slide the one next to it over in the same spot...perfectly fine.
Then I take the questionable tank and check it all the way around with my square
and with several levels, etc.
It is literally out of square right from the factory  ::)
Looks like I'll be swapping that one out tomorrow at PetCo.

I've often wondered about the quality of the $1/gallon tanks. Now I know my concerns aren't unwarranted. Good to hear you noticed this before a disaster took place.

I still haven't bought any,  since PETCO switched from Aqueon,  for this reason.   I've seen too many posts about the quality being sub par.

These are Aqueon tanks Blair....or did you mean to say "to Aqueon"?
