Title: Mitten State Cichlids

So is the official replacement or did someone else just get tired of waiting and started a new one?  Or is that a touchy topic?

It's not touchy at all.  I got tired of waiting on Bill, and the busy season is approaching with fall and winter auctions. 

I sent him an email asking him if he would forward mittenstate here, but I haven't heard from him yet lol. 

To be fair, I know he's been extremely busy with work, and I now know from firsthand experience it's time consuming to set something like this up, but it was obvious that it wasn't as much of a priority to him as it was me.

I would also like to point out that he paid for that board out of his pocket since 2006, so although it took him forever to respond to anything, he still helped support the hobby in Michigan, and I'm grateful for that.

Well with that I officially thank Bill for all my previous good times on Ole' Mittenstate.

Yes-  I'd also like to thank him. Without Mittenstate my tanks would not be what they are today.

Maybe Bill will find a few minutes to spend here on occasion by joining this new forum.

Yeah, that would be cool.
Especially since I joined MSC after he had quit posting. I have read some of his posts & he kept the same fish as I like to keep. So, that's even more of a plus.

I checked Mittenstatecichlids at least once per day for years. I too am sorry to see it go. Hopefully this site can get up to speed quickly, summer is almost over.

Though it is gone it has been unofficially replaced by this site.  I am sure many haven't found this yet though and that is a bummer.

Good deal.  Glad to hear that.  Though I must say, the membership built pretty quickly by word of mouth.  But there were some that didn't get it.  I bet we actually broke records on how quickly we got to where we are in terms of numbers!
