Ugh, my newest ac110 filter is driving me crazy.
I was catching some fish last night and kicked up some sand and it instantly stopped and jammed. So I took it off, had to free the shaft with needle nose pliers etc, cleaned and put Vaseline on it all. It's super loud now. I have tried turning the shaft around and it's no help.
Should I buy a new shaft or what?
Is there suspossed to be a rubber tip on top of the shaft? Maybe I'm missing a part.

Yes, there should be a rubber tip on the top of the shaft...that the impeller sits on.....to keep it centered.

On both ends? There's one down in the motor but I'm missing any top

Update: I took a rubber end piece off an old broken filter and it helped. All is back to normal now. Thanks :-)
