I did not, I looked at them briefly but decided I didn't need them lol. The only things I won in the auction were the chrysonatus, the meleagris, vallisneria, synspilum, and the red empress juvies

Kinda bummed that the chrysonotus went for way way way less than a common run of the mill copadichromis borleyi.  Live and learn I suppose.

I know, I wasn't really looking for one but at that price I couldn't pass it up. They're awesome fish.

They are if I were sell my big group I'll let you know.  They are cool to watch when they spawn since the are are aerial spawners.

That'd be awesome. I picked up some fry from Blair a while back but they didn't make it due to a heater malfunction  :( Not sure that I'd have the space to breed them right now but I might if you ever decide to sell them

Crazycoolpeacocks, how much was that blue phantom pleco? I had my eye on the green one but figured it would be too pricy for me anyways.

Not sure about the Blue Phantom, but if I remember correct that 5" green phantom went for about $27 I think it was.

I also picked up a nice l-333 for a customer. A zebra would've been nice, didn't even see those. And that's a pretty good deal on those acaras!!

It is Mike, those fish today went into the 75 that's attached to the desk.

I didn't even notice at the auction, probably because it took us a few tries to get the BG in since the trim on that tank was slightly different, but when I looked at the pics of the tank/BG just a few mins ago on FB I noticed the BG is actually sat in upside down. Flip that puppy over because the top left of it is carved slim so a HOB can fit over it (actually be the bottom right as it sits in there now since it is upside down lol). Unless it'll have a canister or sponge filter, in that case it won't matter then.

WHAT?!!

I'm sure it probably is a LDA076....if it is a L-046....I'm going to drag mom kicking and screaming to those auctions

Had a good time!
And that's the most important part!

I came home with a few fish and a bunch of plants. I spent last night cleaning up from bagging before the auction and got the new fish placed. I still have empty tanks, but that's OK.

Then today I spent a good portion of my time redoing my living room (upstairs) show tank. Doing water changes on it isn't much fun relative to the rest (requires using a 5 gallon bucket instead of hoses and pumps), so I'm changing trajectory and setting up what I hope becomes a successful low-tech planted tank that will have water changes at a much lower frequency than if it were full of cichlids.

How come you can't use pump/hose on it Ron? You're not talking about the 400g tank are ya? That would take forever with buckets  :o lol

Downstairs, I have a large utility tub to pump into, refill from. Years ago, in an apartment I would haul a pump and garden hose throughout the house to drain tanks, then rig up a system where the tub fills into a bucket, with a pump to push water back out to the tanks. It was all kind of a PITA and I have little interest is doing it again. The tank is a 6' 100 gallon. Doing 20 gallons with buckets isn't bad, but 40-50% water changes aren't fun.

The monster tank is 4' from the utility tub on the backside. It's my favorite tank to do water changes on. ;D

Even without my good buddy Rob there to spur me on to bid, I scored quite a nice haul.

Great looking group of Gymnogeos El Norte
Albino Greshakei group
An incredible Tramitichromis Intermedius-could not believe how much he colored up in the tank.
bag of Labeotropheus Mpanga red juvies
Pair of Xeno melanogenys
A group of yellow labs with a holding female
Bi color 500
Benga yellow
Ruby red

Missed out on the deep water hap, but hoping Ron gets a nice spawn out of them ;)
Also, missed the few bags of gobies since I was in a hurry and forgot to add them to the priority.

Seemed like fewer bags than usual, though a great selection of fish. I was disappointed to see some of the fish in ziplock bags, though I understand people were told it would not be acceptable next time. All in all, a great auction.
