The kid was going to clean the bathroom today which happen to be right across from my 150g Tropheus Ilangi tank. As she walked by they (as usual) Swam as fast as they could to the side of the tank expecting food. What came next though was truly a sign of some abused fish.....She stopped and turned toward them with a yellow handled broom and they west flying from one end of the tank to the other and back again and started going up and down side to side, hiding in the rocks. If the broom moved they spazzed out! I proceeded to question the kid to until she almost cryed. I decided to stop before the pliers came out to try and pry some teeth.... :D 8) :P :P :P :P :P :P
All kidding aside, Have any of you seen this behavior before? I have never had any fish do this before. I need to video it. I havnt seen fish move like this in any situation. Even while trying to net them. I assumed it is a wild instinct of some kind that goes off telling them to run....or swim I should say. lol :P

Interesting...

I've had fish that freak out every time I walk by (my atabapo pikes do that every time).

I've had some kinda spaz for a moment but never like this. It was only with the yellow broom handle and like I said above, the most chaotic movements I have ever seen. Imagine seeing 37 fish...every one of them...all at the same time...move as if they thought they were going to be eaten.
