Thanks!

Thanks Jim. Rright now I am growing my Kiriza fry out with the hopes of getting more females and establishing a F1 breeding group with them. As far as the Xeno, the only other person I know with them is in OH and I don't think he is having any luck with them anymore. I am going to play tank shuffle with mine and move them to a 125 from a 75 to see if I can't get mine to pair off.
-
I haven't had too many problems getting my adults to pair off. I've got a group of eight adults with one definite pair but I have had difficulty getting them to do more than just defend territory. We should talk about this when we get a minute at the auction on the 17th.

Do you have any pictures of the foai?
-
Sorry, I don't have pics. But, I just googled this species and there are a couple pics of males that mine looks exactly like; green and coppery flanks with dark unpaired fins when in spawning color. I think you'll be able to find a lot of pics of this species online.
-
I know what they look like, they just vary quite a bit. I'm assuming by your description it looks more like the first picture here than the other two? And also do you have an approximate size?
-
Yes, when the male is in breeding color, he looks just like the first pic. I'd say they are 7-8 inches with the male being longer than the female.

I did some digging for you guys. I've so seen Jims group in person and they look awesome. http://michigancichlid.com/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=3124.msg27568#msg27568

Updated for the MCAS auction.

Do you have pics of vid of your parent F1 ilangi group?
-
Despite many attempts, I can't get much more than really blurry pics as I don't have lights on their tank and they move way too fast and my camera can't catch them. Sorry.
