Does any one have ideas regarding what could be used for the metal fish stands that won't ruin a floor? Metal or plastic and how to obtain?
What will prevent a metal fish stand from ruining any type of floor?
Any ideas would be cool!! Thanks in advance.

A thin piece of wood would probably work

Composite shims under each leg. Sold at both Lowes and HD.

I bet small tiles would work, too

How about something like this under the legs Pete http://www.lowes.com/pd_310986-255-4338495N_1z0ylxk__?productId=3087225&pl=1
I'd imagine those would look a bit better than most other things, which I am gonna bet is a consideration now that you are an ol' married guy ;)

What kind of floor?
A concrete floor would need nothing. 8)
For tile, a number of suggestions have been made that would work.
For wood, the suggestions would also likely work.
For carpet or linoleum, after a duration of years, I think almost anything would leave a noticeable imprint. The larger the footprint, the less PSI on the floor, the less likely permanent deformation would occur.
