Female Aulonacara are almost impossible to ID.

You're best off buying female peacocks from a source that knows specifically what they are selling. Afterwards, keep them separate from any other peacock species, as it's almost impossible to sort them out with 100% accuracy afterwards.

Thanks...yeah when I buy I do ask and I'm sure I was told but forgot. I actually  thought I was running an all male tank. Thought I sold all females til I saw her holding.  Now I'm with about 30 fry.

Lol...I already kno where ur headed with this Ron. They won't be leaving  my home.  I do  actually have an extra hundred gallon fish less tank in my Man Cave. The fry are a month old now. I plan to raise them there.
