Title: About lighting
Post by: eitakppurk on March 30, 2015, 09:17:40 PM
Okay I hate to post redundant topics, and I swear I just saw this topic posted within the past week or so but I can't seem to find it on the forum (feel free to drop the link if you know what I'm talking about)...I am just looking for the best fluorescent light to bring out the color in my cyps. I noticed last night that I can actually see their beautiful blue fins better when the tank light is off and the room light is on! They have been showing displaying behavior a lot and I'm missing out on their pretty colors with my current light, which, as far as I know is just the "daylight" kind.

Thanks!

This might help you:

I suspect you probably need a bulb with a higher kelvin rating to bring out the colors of your fish.
