Title: food suggestions
Post by: dewey68 on March 10, 2015, 10:44:29 AM
Well, I'm setting a tank for the first time in a few years.  I had always bought my food from Wet Thumb but see that they are completely shutting down their store.  I would like to find something similar to there flake food as well as the color enhancing pellets.  Does anyone have suggestions?

Send lohachata a pm inquiring about his foods. It's the closest you're gonna get cost wise & IMO quality is going to be better.

NLS is still my hands-down favorite.

Kens Fish have a variety of decent foods too IMO, both flake and pellets. Don't get hung up on the names and instead focus on what's in them. Some are a bit high in fat content IMO. They often have a deal on free shipping over a certain price.

I buy most my foods from Ken's fish and get HBH veggie 8 for my herbivores and they love it.  Most my cyps and lamps get frozen brine shrimp as their main staple.  Paradigm fish food is really good too.  I have started use this as well on a larger scale basis.

Great suggestions everyone!   I was at a loss as to what to use so thank you.  I can hardly wait to get this thing up and running.  Then my search for fish begins.
