Any large landscaping supply yard carries all different types of rock at very cheap prices (as opposed to LFS prices).

I've bought a lot of stuff here:

No problem. They have great variety and really decent prices.
BTW, they are on the north side of 8 mile rd just west of Middlebelt rd.

Not sure if your close to any, but many farmers with large fields have rock piles. Im sure they wouldn't mind if you went a took a look. Just a thought. I know it may be difficult with the snow. But could be worth a look.
