Title: Hello From Williamston
Post by: LastChanceCollegeKid on February 01, 2015, 08:24:15 PM
My name is Robert and I live in Williamston, Michigan, a few miles east of East Lansing. I am in my second joyous year at Lansing Community College, hence the name LastChanceCollegeKid. I have been keeping cichlids in one form or another for a decade or so. I started with the cheapest fish I could find, buying my first few dozen cichlids, including what I now know were peacocks and auratus, from the "assorted cichlid" tanks in stores. In fact, I still have a male mystery peacock I rescued from a pet store tank full of Oscars 8 years ago. After several heater malfunctions and subsequent die offs, I built my collection up with tangs and a few species of synodontis. After a recent downscaling of my tank collection, I currently have one 55 gallon and two 20 gallon tanks, but I am planning on getting my hands on a hundred gallon plus tank within 6 months. By the way, this is the first forum I have ever been a member of, so I'm not too sharp when it comes to net etiquette. Please no one be afraid to let me know if I am ever acting inappropriately.

Thanks for reading my introductory spiel

-Robert
