Where is the best place to get some good hose for plumbing filters? back in the spring I bought some clear 7/8" hose at the local hardware when I was setting up the big tank but I really hate the hose I bought back then. It kinks real easy and seems to collapse on itself. Anyone know of a local place that has some decent quality hose that can be used for aquarium plumbing?

Costco - I bought a nice 75' hose for $39 last spring, very nice quality...Good Luck !

Check out the reinforced hose that your hardware store carries. It'll be more expensive, but nicer.

x2- It shouldn't kink nearly as easily and if does, you're doing something wrong.

Finally found some reinforced hose today so I could swap out the crappy hose on the pair of fx5 filters for the big tank. Took running to six different stores though. Local Lowes was out of 1" ID, Home depot didn't even carry 1" ID, three local hardwares stopped at 3/4" ID >:(....finally hit a 2nd Lowes a bit further away and found some there.

Figures that it had to be an adventure. Glad you found some.

Nothing has been simple with this project it seems lol

True, but aren't you glad I talked you out of taking a hammer to it? ;)

I was close to doing it there a few times :-X

Steve if you use the hammer, make a video to share with us. I like watching things get demolished. :)
