Do you know the F number or your cyps?  Is the common name for this fish, blue flash?
Can you provide any photos of your cyps. for sale or describe their color?

Thanks,

Ron

Ok.. so I have to admit, I wasn't aware there are more than one type of "red hump".

I believe these are the Geophagus Steindachneri.

I think you're right.  Steidachneri is the red hump. Seems like people often get them confused though with the red (or orange) head geophagus, which are sp. tapajos.  Which highlights the importance of scientific names when the common names get confused.

Thanks.. yeah.. I only new the "red hump" as the Steidachneri and the "red or orange head" as the Tapajos.

Next time I will be more specific.. while we are at it.. if anyone has Tapajos.. I am interested..  ;)

Since I don't know now for sure.. I suppose I should grow them out to see.. LOL

Learn something new everyday.. I am more of an Altifrons, Tapajos, and Winemilleri fan but can't seem to find them locally.

Thanks for the lesson in the red humps.. cool
