Sciaenochromis Fryeri "Northern Lights"
WTH is that? What are the origins?

Sciaenochromis Fryeri "Northern Lights"
WTH is that? What are the origins?
It's a type of OB fryeri. The male (which I have a pic, but can't figure out how to insert it into a personal message) has a the white base (with blue glow, like the "White Knight" variant) orange spots, and the blue iridescence of a traditional fryeri. I think the variant, "Northern Lights" get it's name from the varying coloration and glow similar to the Aurora Borealis seen in the northern skies. I have seen other variants called Sciaenochromis fryeri "Galaxy".
I've included a (iPhone) pic to help clear up the description.

Sooooo it's just another hybrid?

Aren't we all. :o

Thanks for the description. I had heard of OB fryeri, but not those with more specialized names based on coloration.

Thanks to all who purchased fish from me at the auction. :) Wish I could say I brought any of that money home, but there were some fish and equipment I just had to have. ;)
