Great smallmouth. LSC is a smallmouth factory for big smallies in the 5lb range. Nice one.

We ended up with 9 keepers (threw back about 12).  It was kind of a slow day - not unusual to limit out in 4 hours or so.

My buddy lives on one of the canals in Chesterfield.  He has been fishing LSC for 30+ years.  We are going out next week again - hopefully for muskie (something else it is famous for).

What area are you fishing near? (Mile Roads, etc.) Love that lake.

Not sure - we moved around a lot.  My buddy won't sit longer than 15 minutes if we not catching fish.  I am not familiar enough with the lake to know the land marks.  At one point we were only about 30 feet inside the US border.

I do know that we launch from M59 area.

I have decided that LSC is fisherman heaven - Smallies, Pike, Musky, Perch, and Walleye.

Last year we actually snagged a sturgeon while trolling for Muskies.  It was about 5 foot long and probably close to 100 years old.  That was cool.

That was a trip where we took customers out so I was getting paid while doing it....that was awesome.
