What are the guys with the blue on the face and hi fins? Lepto something?
-
Cyprichromis leptosoma and the ones with neon blue stripes are the Paracyprichromis nigripinnis.
-
Nice!!
-
I actually like both of those. Maybe a tang tank is in my future? Don't the nigripinnis need a decent sized tank?
-
The size you see is as big as they get. should really be in a bigger tank but ive been assured by serveral people they are fine. Everyone seems happy :) The Jumbo Leptosoma need a lot more space. They get up to 6". Both fish should be in groups of 6 or more. I hear 9 is better. Im actually trying to decide between a 6' tank for these guys or getting the 6' tank for some Fronts or maybe trohpeous. I just need a lot more money and space.

Nice video.

Looks nice....I see fry. Do you have population explosion control species in the tank?

If not my vote goes to Synodontis Multipunctatus. I've had them for 4-5 years now and survivors are very rare. Plus I like the bonus cat fry. I actually had one cat survivor. Also 1-2 demasoni and labs but thats it in that amount of time.
But I have a fealing you'll set-up more tanks and keep the fry :P

Well the tank is kind of an experiment at this point. Not sure what im going to do. They might all go in a 6' tank sooner than later.

Nice tank. I am working on a 75 gallon tang tank right now with some Enantiopus sp. "Kilesa" and Cyphotilapia gibberosa (Mpimbwe). Trying to decide on what shellie and if I want to add julies. Also, would like the Paracyprichromis nigripinnis or some type of cyp.

I havent seen too many varieties in person but if you can hold out there is some real cool/unique looking shellies.
