Spent the last few days up at my cabin on the Au Sable as I usually do fishing along various places on the river for trout, smallmouth & pike. The trout were not all that active this trip but the recent warm up had the smallmouth up and active and managed to bring a few to net on streamers. Headed back up in less than two weeks for a trout trip fishing in Grayling and Mio, then back home for a few weeks till July when I head up for my annual 16 day trip. Going to be a good summer.

Ahhh.. nice smallies and a nice weekend to do it..
Last couple years we have been camping in Oscoda with the family. My father-in-law has been going up there for years, we recently started joining him having been out of state the last 15 years or so.
Most of our days are get up, eat, hit the ATV trails, eat, jump on the Jetskis, nap, throw for some smallies along the shoreline, eat, drink some brews, sit by the fire, sleep.. and repeat.. It's great up there. This year I was kicking around taking my Cobra Fish n Dive 'Yak up there to fish with, or sneak off with one of the Jetskis. Beautiful place, plenty to do.. or not if you are so inclinded.
Great pics and report. -marc and family.
