Yep, reminds me of the tree at work...we call it the genital wart tree.

Makes me want to cut it down and make a bunch of reel seats for fly rods out of it ;D Trees that have a ton of burling like that have a great grain pattern inside them.

reel seats...pistol grips....shotgun and rifle stocks...knife handles...oh yeah...burl is fabulous..and expensive..
i have a couple of custom knives with burl handles.

As long as the tree is healthy I prefer to see it as is, opposed to any other options.   :P

My first impression of the tree is that it looked like demon heads attempting to break free from the inside of the tree.
