Title: Pseudotropheus zebra black top
Post by: jakubasm1 on March 30, 2014, 12:56:45 PM
Hi guys I just bought some fish today, which i was leary about because they were called Pseudotropheus zebra black top.  I have never heard of black top I have heard of red top but not black.  The fish are yellow and looks like they will turn to a blue when they get older.  Thanks for the answers.

Pseudotropheus, Metriaclima, and Maylandia all seem to be names used for some mbunas. It's hard to keep up with the changes. Maybe this is your fish?

I see you are just down the road from me a bit; I'd love to get my hands on a few of those if you have success breeding them  ;)
Can you post any pics?

I can post pics it wont be till later.  VI pets on plainfield is where I got them from.  I got 5 of them I think there were about 5 or so left when after I took mine.  They are still quite young.  I'm still not sure that is the same fish.  That one that he posted the link to was referred to as a black dorsal a saw.  They are calling these black tops.  I just have no idea what they are, or what they will look like.
