Some places I was "surprised" were even on the list. :o
-
Eh I'm sure you'll meet some really nice people in those places too. For every negative thing there is a positive.
-
Great, 3 of the top ten are in Michigan. >:(
-
Not sure which is worse: having 3 in the top 6 (Michigan) or 6 in the top 100 (Ohio). My guess is the former...Sad to say...
-
Doesn't surprise me.

My first reaction to this thread is that you're stuck in a rut. ::)

Hey I live in #5! It's not that bad! (Just sayin')
-
I can attest to that born and raised in Saginaw has a lot of potential.
-
Flint and Saginaw have some bad areas, but I'm sort of surprised they were actually ahead of Detroit :o

You're not the only one. What is your obsession with posting this depressing crap on a fish forum?

** It is Not an obsession. I found it on yahoo news and thought to just post it...I posted it simply as an interesting news story. There were cities on the list that I was surprised to even see on it. It was NOT targeted towards the East Side of the State-period!! As far as depressing--there are Far More Serious things happening across the United States....children missing-women beaten badly by their husbands-shootings in schools and malls etc. Now those Things Are Depressing--not a list of the most dangerous cities...that's mild compared to the tragedies throughout the world!! :( **

My comment, and I suspect Marty's though we haven't talked about it and provided independent reactions to your thread, is based on the fact that you seem to post threads at least yearly pointing out that MI has a number of cities that make these types of lists. The repetition makes it seem as though you're fixated on this subject.

I was out at a bar in Midland just a couple weeks ago and someone asked me where I lived and I got the strangest looks then I was asked if I had gotten lost and just ended up in Midland..
First time I've encountered such lovely snobby people so close to home!

Detroit is slowly becoming abandoned. It's sad!
I love hanging out in Detroit!
-
Detroit is a lost cause. Hopeless. I gave up a long time ago.
Flint... is becoming worse and worse by the year. I have quite a few friends in the Flint area. Unbelievable the stuff that happens there. Following in the footsteps of Detroit.
I know nothing about Saginaw other than a friends daughter lives there and wants to get out quick.

The biggest problem is we cut more cops then we hire. Maybe if we didn't spend a year focusing on how we can ban guns and spent it hiring and creating more jobs we would be in the situation we are. Thanks a bunch obama and snyder...

Is that why the Cergnul Homestead seems so sparse now?
