They don't bother the Haps at all but the male K gold wreaks havoc on the female K golds!

How are those K Golds with aggression twards the Haps?
The key word is "young". Each year my all male adult peaceful African cichlid tank has to be thinned out due to aggression. I'm even thinking about getting them all gone! When they were young I had a few cichlids known to be aggressive in this tank. As they were maturing deaths and aggression reigned supreme. :P However I guess some people get lucky and don't have these issues. 8)

The K golds are a few years old so I hope they don't become more aggressive from this point on ???

see this is the reason I asked. I haven't had good results mixing Zebra type Mbuna with more mellow haps.
When I kept Mloto I had them with a bunch of Aulanocara growouts

I've always had this in the back of my mind.... at some point with only one main breeder tank I may have to decide on "either or".
I realize that while I have had fortunate results in raising several species short term, when I come across some that I want to keep long term I will need to make some hard calls in order to maintain a peaceful tank.
